I served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps from 2001 to 2005. During that time I served as a Rifleman (0311), 60mm Mortarman (0341) and a Combat Life Saver. I deployed multiple times to war torn countries including Iraq and Afghanistan.
I was discharged from the Marine Corps in 2005 with a Honorable Discharge.
When I left the Marine Corps, I still had many medical problems that would affect/haunt me to this day. I started these projects several years ago as a way to deal with PTSD and anxiety. This helped clear my head and keep me focused on the present vs the past. This continued for nearly 2 years when a good friend of mine mentioned he had a friend that would like to learn how to do some of things I was building. From that point on it snow balled it’s way into a non-profit instructing disabled veterans of different trades that they could use on a daily bases.
I am 100% rated disabled through the VA but I am still rated to work. I am in the aviation manufacturing industry, therefore I am currently holding lessons at night and on the weekends as needed.
We are always looking for volunteers and donations to help with future projects and builds. Currently I am funding everything out of my own pocket, so any donations would be greatly appreciated.
We own a trucking company and will.always a truck for any vets looking for work. We are a Kansas based company with several drivers living In OK. Due to the nature of our industry and insurance policies CDL is required
Good morning Preston. I apologize for the delay in responding. I will spread the word. I might know of a vet or two that have their CDL looking for work. I will check around and if I hear of anything I will let you know. Thank you for reaching out to me in regard to hiring vets.
